This small rug, woven by a Turkmen ethnic woman, was used in Afghanistan to cover the rider’s saddle. To knit it, soft and shiny wool has been used. All dyes are natural. A nice collector’s item.
Material: 100% hand-spun sheep wool
Size: 65×60 cms
Origin: Turkmen from north, Afghanistan
Date of weaving: 1920s
