Exceptional Afghan “ Pida” chair with shaped back, hand-carved teak decorated with horses , flowers and geometrical elements and foam seating. The frame still preserves its original patination and despite its low appearance its quite comfortable.
A mixture of old Nuristan and moderne influences have combined to form these ornate tribal carvings. Afghans traditionally used horses as a Buzkashi sport and so the horse is used to reflect as a symbol of nobility and strength throughout afghanistan .
